Poppy Featherwand; second daughter of the Featherwand Family, was a magically talented and excitable young girl. She grew up hearing stories of her older sister Dahlia, who had gone missing and was presumed dead when Poppy was a baby. These stories soon became a shadow that loomed over Poppy as expectations mounted on the young girl to succeed her Father’s seat as head of the family.

The night before Poppy’s 21st birthday; her Father suddenly fell ill and died hours later. A funeral was thrown together in the days that followed, where Poppy caught a glimpse of a cloaked figure leaving the service. No one else could recall seeing the figure arrive or leave.

Upon returning home; she found a opened letter in her late Father’s office, which revealed her sister Dahlia was alive and well. Shocked, Poppy went to tell her Mother only to find herself falling unconscious as her last recollection was seeing that same cloaked figure leave the room with a set of keys in hand.

Poppy awoke to find out her family’s fortune had been stolen in the night and only two flowers had been left behind; a Poppy and a Dahlia. With her Mother’s encouragement, Poppy set out that day to find her Sister and restore her family’s wealth.

Rose Featherwand - Poppy’s Mother, whilst their relationship hasn’t always been the best, it was her support that encouraged Poppy to begin her adventure to find Dahlia. Rose was just as shocked about Dahlia’s existence as Poppy was. Poppy isn’t entirely sure if her mother is being truthful or not.

3. An Initial Goal:

Poppy heard wind of a similar robbery of another wealthy family in a nearby city and is following the trail whilst trying relearn her magical abilities that she’d suppressed/ignored for years.
